1 If the installer does not first disconnect the input wiring of the battery panel and inverter, and plugs or unplugs the DC terminals during the installation of the photovoltaic system, DC power may enter the DC side of the inverter. This can pose a risk of electric shock to personnel and may also damage the inverter and other downstream equipment.
2 In photovoltaic power plants, inverters are crucial components. To ensure continuous power generation, inverters typically lack a start/stop button. As long as there is sunlight, even during rainy weather, the solar panels generate electricity, and the inverter operates automatically. However, this can create issues when replacing or repairing the inverter. Although the AC side may be disconnected via the installed AC circuit breaker, the DC side may still be live. If the inverter cannot isolate the DC power from the solar panels, there is a risk of electric shock and equipment damage.
3 Currently, most inverters on the market lack internal electrical isolation and may allow backflow from the AC side to the DC side. This can lead to electric shock hazards during maintenance if physical isolation of the DC power is not achieved.
