China CNKA offers discounted electrical RCCB residual circuit breakers. These switches automatically disconnect a circuit when leakage current exceeds a preset value. Residual current circuit breakers come in voltage and current types, with current types further divided into electromagnetic and electronic variants.
Voltage type leakage circuit breakers are designed for low-voltage power grids with ungrounded neutral points. They generate a high voltage between the neutral line and ground when a person is shocked, triggering the relay and causing the power switch to trip. In contrast, leakage circuit breakers used in low-voltage distribution systems with neutral grounding detect leakage current through a zero sequence current transformer. This detection activates the relay, leading to the disconnection of the power switch.
Q: What type of MCB is suitable for solar PV?
A: For solar combiner boxes with currents greater than 125A, DC MCCBs (moulded case circuit breakers) rated between 125A and 800A are recommended. For currents below 125A, DC MCBs (miniature circuit breakers) rated between 6A and 125A are suitable for use in the DC circuit breakers.
