Is a solar combiner box necessary?

In terms of battery systems, a combiner array is typically unnecessary for systems with just one or two panels. Similarly, systems with three to four panels may not require a combiner. However, for systems with more than four panels or strings of panels, it is strongly recommended to incorporate a combiner box.
