CNKA 2 pole 63a ac mcb Working principle
An MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) is a building electrical terminal protection device, consisting of several key components: operating mechanisms, contacts, protection devices (such as overcurrent releases, thermal releases, and undervoltage releases), and arc extinguishing systems.
The operating mechanism can be activated either manually or electrically. Once activated, a free release mechanism locks the main contact in place. The overcurrent and thermal releases are connected in series with the main circuit, while the undervoltage release is connected in parallel with the power supply.
In the event of a short circuit or severe overload, the overcurrent release coil generates a magnetic field, which moves the armature and triggers the free release mechanism, causing the main contact to open. For overload conditions, the thermal release's bimetallic strip heats up, bends, and activates the free release mechanism. If there is an undervoltage condition, the armature of the undervoltage release disengages, which also triggers the free release mechanism.
